This scenic design project reimagines Edgar Allan Poe's The Black Cat through a stylized, hand-drawn aesthetic inspired by sketchbook illustrations and psychological horror. The design uses distorted architecture, exaggerated linework, and dramatic lighting to reflect the narrator's deteriorating mental state and the growing sense of unease throughout the story.

The project included a full SketchUp set design, lighting studies, and a hand-built scale model. Through both digital visualization and physical fabrication, the design explored how scenic elements can communicate mood, tension, and character psychology.
